The name can bring up nice images of all kinds of high schoolers and many, many university students wandering around campuses with their loved ones and friends, never having a dull moment and having little conversations with giggles and arguments. Never a dull moment within the community.
Most of the population consists of teenagers and young adults, those of ages around fourteen to twenty-three. Freedom is very natural to them and the only rules that are broken are those within Red Oak High. A lot of tension goes on in the high school and also lots of heartbreak and drama. Never a dull moment within Red Oak High School.
The community also hosts a University that caters to the needs of its students. It has mainly courses that circle around the arts, although sometimes can help some people who want to excel in the needs of the athletics department or otherwise. It's a really nice university with loads of food. And most of the students pay their way in although some are there on scholarship. Never a dull moment within Red Oak University.
But there's something funny about the town population. It barely seems to go down more than up. Very few lives are lost. And the faces never seem to change beside the fact they dye their hair, get tattoos, etc. They never change. It was a curse that had been placed onto the community. There happens to be a story behind this.
Long ago, the owner of the community thought they had found a witch and had to do away with her. Along the way of the ending process, she had made a chant that imprisoned the population in a different way. Even if people moved from another area to Red Oak, they always were affected in a less than normal way. How can this be, you ask? Easy.
The spell had actually imprisoned people to their age. If you were sixteen, you were going to stay that age. No matter what, until you left the city of Red Oak. So no one really seemed to be over the age of thirty. Why? Because the only people that were older who moved here was wanting to retire. Otherwise, the other students such as high schoolers and university students could stay in co-ed dorms by themselves. They didn't need their parents.
But as much as researchers research, they can't figure out a way to help the population age at all. It just stays the same, and there's an overwhelming age of high schoolers and the like.
